You pull red-hot pottery straight from a roaring 1,800°F kiln and plunge it into containers filled with combustible materials like sawdust, paper, or leaves. The materials instantly burst into flames, starving the clay of oxygen to create brilliant, metallic copper flashes, crackled glazes, and deep, smoky black finishes. No two pieces ever look the same. Taking our Raku workshop is an absolute thrill for anyone looking to have some exciting fun on a Friday night.
