Eric
Eric first fell in love with pottery, like many of us, as a high school student. Over 30 years later he still gets just as excited as he was that first day watching his instructor throw a cylinder on the potters wheel. Over the years he has been inspired by many potters. Warren Mckenzie, Guy Wolff, and Phil Rogers are three of the potters that he absolutely loves. As an instructor he likes to try and get his students to seek inspiration past Instagram and YouTube. The internet has been around since the nineties, but some of the earliest archaeological discoveries were shards of pottery. Currently, when not at Portside Pottery, He is a vendor at the Vancouver Washington Farmers Market. At Portside Pottery his main job is to manage the studio and create a pleasant space for the members and students to work on progressing as potters and artists. He’s also an instructor!
